MGTES is an Electro Thermal Energy Storage system designed to support the decarbonization of industrial processes and power systems to advance sustainable development. The system charges with electricity from renewable sources or directly from the grid, storing energy for hours or even days as sensible heat in a fluidized sand bed and discharging it as fully dispatchable steam.
MGTES allows for simultaneous or independent electrical charging and steam generation, enabling price arbitrage across energy sources. As a result, the system not only reduces reliance on fossil fuels but also optimizes heat generation costs.
