This group develops case studies, shares best practices, and sets technology, market, and policy priorities that will help move the electrification industry forward.
The Working Group kicked off in January 2022.
Participants are RTC Member and Solutions Provider companies and local and state governments, as well as invited participants such as government entities (National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA), Department of Energy (DOE) and electrification non-governmental organizations (NGOs)).
The Working Group reviewed and discussed the report, Electrifying U.S. Industry: A Technology- and Process-Based Approach to Decarbonization. A two page fact sheet is also available. Electrification case studies will be developed in 2022 and 2023.
The Working Group meets monthly and is co-led by RTC staff and an RTC Member company. The RTC plans to host an electrification session at the October 2022 RTC Summit.
Past events include two webinars: Electrifying U.S. Industry and Industrial Boiler Electrification.
