Section 43-3.3 of the Rhode Island General Laws outlines properties exempt from taxation. Clause 49 describes that for manufacturers, properties eligible for exemption include renewable energy resources, as defined in section 39-26-5.
Section 44-18-30 of the Rhode Island General Laws describes properties exempt from sales and use taxes. Clause 57 describes that exempt products include renewable energy products, such as solar thermal collectors, geothermal heat pumps, and others.Â
