Solar Thermal C&I Decarbonization Series- Part 2

On September 24, 2020 the RTC hosted the second installment of our solar thermal webinar series, titled “Solar Thermal C&I Decarbonization.” Building on our May 28 look at solar thermal, the RTC is continuously trying to expand our look at how solar thermal innovations can help companies – and particularly industrials – decarbonize.

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) discussed ongoing analysis of the opportunities for solar technologies to meet industrial process heat demand, including insights gained from industry and other stakeholders. Click here for NREL’s Solar for Industrial Process Heat Analysis.

And Heliogen – a clean energy company focused on eliminating the need for fossil fuels – discussed its breakthrough concentrated solar thermal technology that is capable of creating carbon-free, ultra-high temperature heat from the sun to replace the use of fossil fuels in critical industrial processes.
