Case Study: Thermal Energy Storage at Tempo Bevarages

Tempo Beverages partnered with RTC Solutions Provider BrenX to implement a thermal energy storage (TES) system at its brewery in Natanya, Israel. Completed in 2026, the 32 MWh system charges from existing onsite solar photovoltaics and off-peak grid electricity, delivering a steady supply of 170°C steam for the facility’s beer brewing processes. The project is expected to mitigate 6,200 tons of CO2 emissions annually and save Tempo Beverages an estimated $7.6 million in energy costs over 15 years while eliminating its dependence on heavy fuel oil.

Read the case study to learn how the companies approached project development, how the TES system meets the facility’s process heat needs, and how the system combines existing onsite renewables with grid electricity to maximize financial returns and reduce exposure to fuel price fluctuations.
