RFP: Utility Opportunities and Barriers for Scaling Industrial Electrification in the U.S.

The Renewable Thermal Collaborative (RTC) seeks a qualified consultant to conduct a deep dive into the opportunities and challenges for utilities presented by industrial electrification. This project will equip the RTC community with the knowledge needed to advocate for policies and programs that accelerate the transition to renewable industrial heat. Among other goals, the consultant will:

  • Analyze power sector challenges to industrial electrification.
  • Assess key priorities for RTC advocacy of utilities, public utility commissions (PUCs), and policymakers.
  • Identify states and utilities where the RTC can explore concrete opportunities for industrial electrification pilots, incentive programs, innovative pricing structures, and other interventions.

We invite qualified organizations to submit proposals by email to Cihang Yuan (Cihang.Yuan@wwfus.org) by March 22, 2024.

The deadline to respond to this RFP has passed.
