RFP: Best Practices for Delivering Community Benefits when Advancing Renewable Thermal Energy Solutions in the U.S.

The Renewable Thermal Collaborative seeks a consultant to develop the RTC Community Benefits Handbook. This resource will outline best practices for RTC Members to deliver community benefits when deploying renewable thermal energy and industrial decarbonization projects.

The consultant will analyze the federal community benefits framework, conduct stakeholder engagement, facilitate a virtual workshop on community benefits plans, and produce a tailored handbook for the RTC to publish. The handbook will cover topics including engaging workforce and community stakeholders, identifying needs, developing community benefits plans aligned with policies like Justice40, integrating benefits into sustainability strategies, and measuring impacts. The RFP outlines specific deliverables, the selection criteria, and proposal submission guidelines.
