The Washing State Housing Finance Commission’s Sustainable Energy Trust provides loans for energy efficiency and clean energy-related retrofits and new construction. Loan sizes can range from $50,000 to up to $1 million, at interest rates of 2-4%. Eligible applicants include but are not limited to local governments, non-profits, and businesses. Eligible projects must exceed Washington State Energy Code by 15% or more and reduce utility consumption by at least 10% for existing buildings. The loan term maximum is 10 years.
