The Washington State Department of Commerce’s Clean Energy Fund allows Washington-based entities and tribes to apply for funding for dairy digesters or any clean energy projects in rural areas of the state. The program has allocated $1.84 million for dairy digester bioenergy and renewable natural gas (RNG) projects, $1.84 million for broader “energy innovation” projects, including renewables, serving rural communities, and $921,500 for digestor or energy projects in tribal communities.
