Anaerobic digesters - property and leasehold excise tax exemption

Under Washington law, owners of anaerobic digesters can apply to have any property used to operate the digester, including land, buildings, machinery, or equipment, exempted from property or leasehold excise taxes. Exemptions can last for six years. Applications can be found on the Washington Department of Revenue’s website.
