Wood Pellet- or Chip-Fired Evaporator at Sugaries

Maple syrup production operations in Vermont can receive incentives for the installation of wood pellet or chip-fired evaporators which completely replace oil-, propane-, or cord wood-burning systems. Sugaries can receive $200 per square foot of the evaporator pan, not to exceed $20,000 or 50% of the evaporator’s cost.
