Vermont’s Renewable Energy Resource Center provides funding for the installation of solar hot water and wood pellet heating systems by pre-approved installers. Commercial entities can receive $0.40 per KWh per year for solar thermal systems, up to $16,500, and $3,000 to $70,000 for advanced wood pellet burning systems. Public-serving institutions can receive greater incentives, at $0.80 per KWh per year for solar thermal systems and up to $90,000 for advanced wood pellet burning systems.
