NY-SUN Commercial Solar Incentives and Financing

One of four portfolios associated with the New York State Clean Energy Fund, this public-private partnership seeks to drive growth in the solar industry and make solar technology more accessible to New Yorkers. The program also encourages the installation of renewable electricity on-site at industrial facilities. Beyond education and local government resources, NY-Sun provides financing for businesses through on-bill recovery loans, small commercial loans, and large commercial/industrial loans through the “Energy Improvement Corporation.” It also includes additional incentives for energy storage projects, such as ice thermal energy storage.
