In Nevada, new state buildings over 20,000 sq. ft. must comply with ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2016 and ENERGY STAR guidelines. The Administrator of the Division determines what building design measures are appropriate from project to project. They also issue a final approval of payment after reviewing the plans and specifications of the project and confirm that they are sufficient to meet energy efficiency goals.
