The Nevada Public Utilities Commission found that it is in the public interest to adopt requirements for the procurement of energy storage by utilities. They set a target wherein 400 MW of energy storage (including thermal) must be deployed by December 31, 2024, 600 MW by December 31, 2026, 800 MW by December 31, 2028, and 1,000 MW by 2030.
