Property Tax Exemption for Solar, Wind, or Geothermal Devices

Section 57-02-08 of the North Dakota Century Code, which lists property exempt from taxation, includes heating and cooling installations. Clause 27 specifies that the exemption covers installations, machinery, and equipment in new and existing buildings which provide heating and cooling, store power, or produce electrical or mechanical energy using solar, wind, or geothermal energy.
