Hawaii House Bill 2075 (2018) reestablishes a matching grant program originally established in Act 159 of the Session Laws of Hawaii 2015. The program authorizes the Hawaii Technology Development Corporation to provide matching grants to qualified businesses conducting research and development in alternative energy in Hawaii. Eligible technologies include geothermal, solar, wind, ocean power, hydrodynamics, bioenergy, biomass, solid waste, smart grids, transportation, and demand response.
