Encourage Geothermal Use (SB22-118)

This bill, known as Senate Bill 22-118 (“Encourage Geothermal Energy Use”), modifies the statutory provisions that apply to solar energy so that they also apply to geothermal energy. These provisions include consumer education, limiting government charges and fees for installation, creating community geothermal gardens, and including geothermal energy as a qualifying resource for greenhouse gas pollution reduction goals.
