This competitive grant fund, administered by the Alaska Energy Authority, distributes grants to projects which generate energy from renewable resources. Eligible applicants include an electric utility holding a certificate of public convenience and necessity under AS 42.05, an independent power producer, a local government, or other governmental utility, including a tribal council and housing authority.
