Rondo Energy

The Rondo Heat Battery uses low-cost, intermittent, electricity to uniformly heat a durable brick material. This stored heat is delivered on demand as hot air, steam or hot water, at selectable temperatures up to 1,500°C. Charging and discharging can occur simultaneously, unlocking 24/7 zero-carbon heat for industrial organizations’ process and power needs. Wave goodbye to the ‘green premium’. Clean heat from Rondo is lower cost than fossil-fueled heating today.

Rondo is purpose-built for industrial facilities: the Rondo Heat Battery is constructed from proven, durable materials designed for seamless integration with existing equipment and processes. Whether deployed as a drop-in replacement for retiring fossil-fueled heating equipment or as a resilient complement to existing systems, Rondo requires no disruptive changes to customers’ operations. By leveraging already proven wind and solar, its method of generating fossil fuel-free heat is more scalable than many emerging carbon reduction technologies. When charging from the grid, electricity can reach low or even negative wholesale prices during the hours of peak renewable generation, resulting in dramatically lower cost than renewable or fossil alternatives.
