Electrifying American Manufacturing: Opportunity, Scale, and Barriers

February 26, 2024 @ 7:30 am - 9:15 am

The nation’s largest energy users are beginning to accelerate their transition to modern, clean, electrified facilities. This shift will place unprecedented demand on U.S. power grids and utilities’ ability to deliver energy at the levels required to meet industry’s needs.

To initiate a conversation between industry and utility regulators on the implications of widescale industrial electrification, the Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP) and the RTC hosted an in-person breakfast on Monday, February 26 at The Westin Washington, Downtown DC. The breakfast featured introductory remarks from the RTC followed by a moderated panel discussion with industry leaders and industrial decarbonization experts. This event was not sponsored by NARUC nor is it a part of the official NARUC agenda.
