Renewable Gas Energy Commission

The Oklahoma State Legislature acknowledges that renewable natural gas (RNG) can help ensure that the state reaches carbon neutrality. Thus, it mandates that the Oklahoma Corporation Commission issue a report and recommendations to the Legislature regarding the ability and appropriateness of natural gas utilities to procure, transport, and deliver renewable natural gas. For this report, RNG means biogas and hydrogen gas.
