Oregon’s Department of Energy provides grants through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program to local governments that are not otherwise eligible to receive funding directly U.S. Department of Energy Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant. Oregon will grant at least 60% of this program’s funding to communities that did not receive direct grants from the U.S. Department of Energy. Eligible projects must reduce fossil fuel emission, reduce community energy use, improve energy efficiency, or build up an equitable energy economy that prioritizes disadvantaged communities.
