The Clean Energy Fund, administered by the Community Development Finance Authority, provides loans for renewable energy, energy efficiency, and clean technology projects. Eligible applicants include businesses, non-profits, and municipalities. To receive financing, projects must result in at least a 15% increase in energy savings. Loans range from $30,000 to $500,000, however certain municipal projects can apply for as little as $15,000. Loan terms of up to 10 years are available, though certain renewable energy projects can receive longer terms. Interest rates range from 2% to 4.5%. The Clean Energy Fund provides technical assistance to prospective borrowers and partners and provides underwriting and programmatic flexibility for projects supporting underserved populations.
