Taxpayers qualified as an alternative energy entity may claim a tax credit in Michigan under the Michigan Next Energy Authority Act. Qualifying business activities include research, development, or manufacturing of an alternative energy system or renewable fuel, including biomass, biodiesel, and landfill gas. This credit can be claimed through 2031.
