Colorado offers a refundable tax credit to industrial facilities exploring and implementing greenhouse gas emission reduction projects. CITCO can be used toward industrial studies, retrofit, expansion and new build projects. Studies might include energy and emissions audits or feasibility studies. A wide range of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies are eligible. Credits are up to 30% of the project’s qualified expenditures and cannot exceed $8 million. The tax credit is available until December 31, 2032.
