In collaboration with the RTC community, this group develops actionable policy requests and communicates them to policymakers, with a focus on US federal policy.
The RTC’s monthly Policy Working Group meetings began in late 2020 and cover the full spectrum of renewable thermal policy issues from an educational perspective.
RTC Members and Solutions Providers participate in monthly meetings. Government relations and/or communications representatives are encouraged to join these meetings, though all are welcome.
Policy is an important part of the RTC’s efforts to accelerate renewable thermal development. As such, the Collaborative has published multiple policy documents, including a comprehensive report titled, Low-Carbon Renewable Thermal Technology Solutions: Policies to Support Development and Deployment. The RTC has also responded to numerous Department of Energy requests for information, participated at the state level. For more information about RTC policy activities and publications, click here.
This group meets monthly.
Recent RTC policy events include a two day policy roundtable in April 2022 that covered Hydrogen and Programing the Advanced Manufacturing Office (AMO). The RTC also hosted a webinar on Renewable Thermal Policy: Challenges & Opportunities.
